Kann zwar Additive Synthese, aber ist eigentlich ein Sampler.
Ich habe einpaar alte PPG Klänge damit gesampled.
Letzten Winter habe ich mir eine gebrauchte 540 MB SCSI-Festplatte für 100,- DM eingebaut. Das Formatieren dauerte Stunden. Der Emax II kann nur maximal 100 Banks mit seiner RAM-Ausstattung , bei mir 3 MB, von dieser Festplatte benutzen. Also bei mir maximal 300 MB.
Der RAM-Speicher läßt sich leider wegen der fehlenden Spezialsoftware nicht mehr erweitern, da der Emax II ohne diese Sofware den neuen Speicher nie bemerken und damit benutzen würde.
Although it is a sampler, it can do additiv synthesis.
I sampled a few PPG sounds with it.
I built a used $55 540 MB SCSI-harddisk into my Emax II last winter. Formating took hours. The Emax II can only use 100 times of its RAM, I got 3 MB, of the harddisk. So I may use 300 MB maximum.
The storage can no longer be equiped with more RAM, because of the missing special Emax II software. Without this sofware the Emax I would never notice the present of more RAM.
